Roots 101 African-American History Museum

This week of Black History Month 2023, we will examine a local, Louisville, KY treasure; Roots 101 African-American History Museum. This unique, educational attraction offers education, fun, healing, and hope. From their website:

Mission

“To promote understanding and inspire appreciation of the achievement, contribution, and experiences of African Americans using exhibits, programs, and activities to illustrate African-American history, culture, and art.”

Located at 124 N 1st St, Louisville, KY 40202, the museum is near the beautiful Louisville waterfront and has nearby parking. Please shop the gift shop and peruse some museum highlights at the link below. If you are in town, please stop by. It is also worth the trip to visit in person.
